Spokane County Community Wildfire Protection Plan

With wildfires being a major problem in Spokane this summer, it’s an opportune time for Spokane County to come out with its draft Community Wildfire Protection Plan, with Appendices. The purpose is to reduce the wildfire risk while maintaining wildfire response capabilities and sustainable natural resource policies. It identifies hazardous fuel conditions in various fire districts and encourages wildfire education. Paper copies can be found at the Downtown Library. Comments on the plan must be submitted by 5:00 pm September 12th. - Spokane Government Librarian
