Proposition 1 on the Ballot

The March 11 Special Election covers various tax districts, depending on where you live in the county.  Proposition 1 is a vote on one-tenth of one-percent sale use tax for Juvenile Detention Facilities and Jails.  This is not the same tax to be used to build a new jail, according to this news release from the county, which clarifies the ballot language. - Spokane Government Librarian
