Second Chance for the 2008 Stimulus Rebate

If you missed the Oct. 15 deadline for filing for an economic stimulus payment, you can receive a payment in 2009 by filing a 2008 income tax return. If their financial situation changed during 2008, taxpayers who did not qualify yet in 2008 may qualify for a recovery rebate credit when they file their 2008 tax return The IRS will post tools on its Web site to help people figure the recovery rebate credit.
