Maps: Satellite, topo, Terrain

USGS Geographic Names Information System provides Elevations, Latitudes, Longitudes and leads to lists of maps. 1. Click on “Domestic Names”; 2.Click on “Search” ; 3.Type in a town or a mountain or name of another feature. You can leave the other boxes blank or you can select the state and county if you know it. 4.Once you have found your feature name, you can click on it for details and to get a list of maps. 5.Then if you click on GNIS in Google Map, you get a map with choices for the Satellite view, the topo, the Terrain, etc. And you can pan or zoom in or out.
