If you need help just ask…
Saturday, August 23, 2008 – 1:53 amFor many of us, the thought of asking for a favor is fraught with discomfort. It shouldn’t be.
Thanks to some recent research coming out of Stanford University, the adage of “Ask and You Shall Receive” is proving to be a powerful business tool. Frank Flynn, associate professor of organizational behavior at the Stanford Graduate School of Business notes that “People are more willing to help than you think, and that can be important to know when you’re trying to get the resources you need to get a job done, when you’re trying to solicit funds, or what have you.” Here’s a link to Flynn’s research.
So ask away! And what better place to ask for assistance than the public library?

Jan –
Many, many apologies but through some breakdown in the blog software your question about the Otis Automatic Train Control company ended up in some electronic backwater and I didn’t come across it until just today. So once again, I’m sorry about the delay.
Regarding your question, do you have an approximate year of when they were in business? If so, that might help me track down some details.
All the best,
Mark
