New Businesses in Spokane

Wednesday, March 12, 2008 – 4:21 pm

If your business would like to conduct business with other businesses, how do you find them?

If you are looking for established businesses, the gold standard is the library’s ReferenceUSA directory. You will need a valid Spokane Public Library card number to search the directory from your home or office.

But what about new businesses? They often don’t show up in directories for a few months but if you have a product to sell to such businesses, it is best to catch them early. One way to do this is go to the Business License office at Spokane City Hall and fill out a Public Information Request form. It takes about two minutes and then you will receive a weekly email listing the businesses that recently applied for Spokane City business licenses. It’s just that easy.
