In a world gone blind, what if you were the only person who could see?

After seeing the trailer for this soon-to-be-released film, I immediately reserved the book by José Saramago. I couldn’t wait for the movie.
The Portuguese author published the book about a city ravaged by an epidemic of instant “white blindness”. Those first afflicted are quarantined… In 1998, Saramago received The Nobel Prize for Literature for this imaginative, and frightening, piece of fiction.
